15/07 is 3 years old already!!

I tink it's time to give this blog a much needed update =)

Today marks the day that most of u, the girls of 15/07 start school once again. HHas.. I am actually pretty jealous of u all.. Only when in the army than do I realise that being able to study is actually a privelleage. Looking back at all the previous posts, we used this blog alot for homework updates. Mayb u all can consider using it for ur new homework?? HHas.. =)

2009 seem to pass very fast. It's already the middle of August. Rmb this time last year, most of us will have been buried under TYS, notes, and whatever not working hard to put more information into our brains. 1 year. It's pretty scary to see week go by you like that. 19years old le. Next year, which is in about 4 months time, we will be hitting the new magical number, 20. The peak of our whole life around then. Than another 6 or 7 years, mayb wedding bells will start ringing for most of us. What will our lives be like then?? HHas.. will we rmb the outings that we had while in that blue and grey uniform. Will we remember the notes that we used to mull over for sleepless nights. Will we even remember our PD tutor??

I must admit, during the limited time that I had out in our pretty Singapore, passing by the Yio Chu Kang Mrt station or the bus stops near the school, I will unknowingly peer out and look at the outline of the school and recall the times spent in there. I don't tink that I will find another place that gives me a nauseous feeling as much as my secondary school and our Junior College. Hhas.. I just had a random thought that we can all keep this blog alive enough so that no matter what paths that we take in the future, when we click this blog link we can know of each other's various life achievements.

It's coming to the end of feb already. Edwin, Hwee Sheng and Terry are gonna POP soon. Many of us have started working already. I just wanna thank all that made it for tuesday outing =D I believe all of us really enjoyed ourselves.

Reminscing the past 2 years is something that I always do nowadays.. Cing some of the AJ students now, I really wish like going up to them and say: "enjoy ur two years while you're still in college." Though JC was tough, but I believe we all emerge out of it strong and sturdy. The story of the chopsticks that we all heard.

It states that 1 chopstick by itself will break under stress. But many together cannot be that easily taken down. Something while talking Character Education to the sec1s that I chance upon this old story. After the 'A' results(which we so dunwan), we will be pioneers in our respective field. I just noe the whole class will be someone that is respectable and good be it watever we do in future. Cos we're fifteen0seven =).

Looking back at our 2007 entries, we used this class blog for hmwork reminders, than encouragement to each other to push on. We also used this class blog to decimate happy movies and jokes. Do you all rmb the 23special things that were written to u all at the start of last year when we all were wrote our names on the paper and write things about that person. Well, I have a suggestion, why dont the frequent or happen to pass by classmates, we write a short note to tell each other how we treasure and miss each other.

I will start:

Dear 15/07,

I will nvr forget this class cos we spent alot of QUALITY time together. Though I join u all only in March, but u all accepted me fast and made me a part of u all, or shld I say us now=) Our class chalet we had last last year was something that was really memorable. We shld do it sometime soon. We all come from different schs with different thinking. We had our fair share of conflicts, but we also had our fair share of happiness.

To my fellow H1 econers, I really miss you all. The seven of us if I am not wrong. Hazel, constance, Jenard, Melissa, Noeleen, Han wei and me. Every thurs and fri, all our slackiness and bugging of Miss Lee come the 'A's. I noe we will make it somehow. Cos we're all together with the most 'Hardworkin' =p teacher, Mr Toh for like 1 year.

Not forgetting too, Elaine, Fiona and Josephine. Well, it's been really great having known u all. Happy and cheerful people. Used to go ice cream crazy together with Han wei and Jenard=) Hope u all have happy times ahead and be happy no matter wat. We watched the rat show, the secret and the room dunno wat no. together yea. I noe u 3 will bcome great people wherever you all end up =)

The guys, Edwin, Hwee Sheng, Kuan Teck, Jian Rong, Yangz, Terry, Han wei and Kel. You all are the best. Edwin, thanks for more than 1 year of fetching up and down=) U allowed me to wake up at 7 for sch lol XD Hwee sheng, soccer fan of MAN U, and always sitting with me during organic chem lecture =). Kuan teck, the helpful smartie=D hhas.. I noe u will do great things and hope UR HAPPINESS Can be found ya =D. Jian Rong, the cool dude. Stay happy no matter wat yea. U're 1 passionate person and I noe things will be all rosy come the end=). Yangz, the crappy person. Stay happy all the way with Hazel ya. Terry, hhas, the army barber story. Well, Stay happy forever with Sok Yin yea.. Hope U can really be the papa soon XD lolx.. that sounds wrong. Hmm.. but take care =). Han wei, hhas.. we two almost together everytime since sec 1. Cya in army soon =) another 3 months together. Kel, thanks for the basic theory book u lent me. My fellow PW mate where we went mad 'hackin' NLB together. Hhas.. find ur goal and happiness too yea =)

So many more people, Cara, Keet, Sok Yin, Candy and alot more, hope that all the 15/07 people we can all make it come the 'A's. It will signal the end of uniformed student for us and the entering of adult life le.

Finally, I will miss all the basketball sessions and ice cream sessions, movies, and just being able to study with u all =) Take care my friends for life!

Happy Feburary class 15/07!!

The year of the OX has now come and sorry about the wrong information that I posted previously.. Hmm.. Guess we won't be able to make it in time to visit our teachers' houses. Well, we are all so busy people =)

I hope that each of us be it wherever we are now, we are doing fine and happy. Soon the AJC's cross country will be here and Friendship day ^___^ so I hope that we can go out once as a class b4 the release of the 'A'level results. Personally, I dread it=(

Sometimes, I just miss wearing that grey uniform with blue long pants. It's too fast already. The year 2007 and 2008. I wonder how are all the J2s feeling this year. The anxiety over their own 'A'levels? Or slack for now? This reminds me of the time with all my H1 econs people. Always on thursday and friday we will b like super free and just chat, or pester Miss Lee. Soon, the guys will all be in army and the girls into the uni life. Let's just spend some time during our b'dae which is 15th of July together as a complete class.

I miss going to sch. being a student and enjoying the freedom. The times that we went to watch movie, eat ice-cream, sing K. N 1 thing I noe u all will agree with me is that student fare is always the best. Hhas.. adult fare sucks siah.. So expensive, must well take cab.

Hmm.. wondering how much we all have changed since taking our class photo together last year. Girls must have permed their hair or rebonded. GUys, I believe we all still look the same honest and good US =)

15/07, a class to rmb. Though we have our downs, but we have our ups as well.. So don't give up on this class my fellow classmates. Let's look forward to adult life united and happy=)

First Post of 2009 for class 15/07....

Hello to those that still frequently come to the class blog. I tink it's time we update and keep this place alive yea.. It's been a tulmultous 2 years that we have endured. Now that it has ended, we are so busy with things such as working. I guess our whole class is working by now. Be it in whatever sector of the economy, at least we are now doing something constructive.

I miss 15/07.. It's really been great knowing you all.. the times that we chatted and waste time. Listening in lectures will also be sorely missed by me. Jen has so kindly asked Han lao shi whether can we go her house during this CNY period. Mayb next next saturday?? It will be ard 7feb. Tag to at least have a rough idea.

it's been so fast yea. Like last last year we were still building sandcastles, this year, we have all graduated and so much things have happened..

Just trying to keep this class blog of ours alive bcos I believe 15/07 will nvr die yea.. =)

That roughly translates to about................. 30 more laps round the circuit? :p

To those whose engines have been up and running, great for ya!
Maybe just stop at the pits to refuel and stuff for a while, if not engine will overheat de...

To those who haven't, you gotta do 2 things:
1. START YOUR ENGINES!
2. Prepare your asses to be kicked by those whose engines are running already. (Ok i'm kiddin'. :P)

Oh, 1 more thing for those already in the race...
Lets all be good Samaritans and lend those who havent started a helping hand?
A gallon of fuel to kick start the engine will be nice. :P

On National Day, while the rest of you guys were busy mugging at home for prelims, we decided to be daring and go for a longgg walk (yes yes, opportunity cost). This was the very scenic view we enjoyed at the hilltop.

Then we walked on to the gardening hub, where Keet Yeng had fun playing with dead morning glories (lol) while I was spamming my phone with photos of the plants.

I just had to upload this, because it's HILARIOUS. The storyline goes like this:

Sun: I see a target! *aims at that purple flower with its deadly uv rays* Right on target!

The result? The poor morning glory caught fire =(

First up, RACIAL HARMONY DAY 2008!
Well, the class civics part are mostly done up le, just left a lil part which cannot be disclosed here. hehehe... As for the mass civics part, i have no idea when's the language dept gonna finalise the speakers, so yea.... But the "visuals" are currently materialising in Jun Yang's com as we speak, so i think its gonna be done up soon too. Oh! Don't forget the assembly stuff too people!

Next, we have the ~~stinkin'~~ MID YEAR EXAMS!!!
I hope everyone's been koping well with all those muggin...
Just a random question, ANYONE STARTED ECONS YET????
I think thats gonna be quite an interesting (and rather amusing) question for us all now. Lolz.

Good work with College Day, guys! And a big thanks to all the performers who came to help out after the event even though you guys were excused from helping...it was really nice of you and the whole class loves you for that I'm sure =D

I'm thinking of our "production line" scene right now as I type this...how the chairs were passed from one end of the audi to the other end in less than a minute because everyone helped out =) I think that was truly an example of how our class can work together so well to achieve greater things isn't it? And we can apply it to our upcoming exams hahahahaha.

Next up, Racial Harmony Day! The organising comm has already sorted everything out and now I'll leave it to Junyang to brief you guys about allocation of work duties. Do take note that our deadline to complete everything is within one week after our econs paper though. Teachers rushing us for it liao.

Anyway, just to share something interesting I found online:

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it.

Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone, until you earn both.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So, before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life (nor are video games). In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, boys and ~~gays~~ girls! Sorry for the wait, but here's the instruction for what we are gonna do for tomorrow (Friday, 16/5) and the actual day on Saturday, 17/5.

Friday (16/5/08)

- Please take note that the tasks can be started the moment you end school. Therefore H1 Econs peeps can start work earlier since you guys end school earlier.

- You can leave once you're done with your tasks (FRIDAY ONLY). Just notify me, Jun Yang, Fiona or Mdm Han when you're done.

- The tasks are as follows:

1. Arrange prize tables and 11 red chairs in the auditorium
I.C. - Nicholas
Members - Kuan Teck, Hwee Sheng, Jian Rong, Edwin

2. Help to arrange flowers from well-wishers at the stage/guest reception area.
I.C. - Jenard
Members - Constance, Xin Huan
* (If no flowers, then not required to stay back)

3. Label the seats in the audi for students
** (Not required because done by 24/07)

4. Help to arrange the plants in auditorium and canteen.
I.C. - Jasmine
Members - Sin Yi, Noeleen (Jenard, Constance and Xin Huan may wanna come help out here. More people = work done faster = go home earlier =p )

5. To clear the route (foyer to canteen to Ohana to block 13 to auditorium) for GOH and VIP.

Saturday (17/5/08) -> Actual Day!!!

- Attendence is COMPULSORY for everyone!
- Expected ending time is about 6pm, may end early if we all chip in and work fast.

Before event:

1. All helpers are to be in college by 12pm.
Attire: College Uniform with tie and collar pin.

2. Lunch will be provided for all helpers at 12pm.

3. Helpers in auditorium please familiarize yourselves with the JC2 student seating plan (Fiona will show you all either tomorrow or on Saturday).
- 8 ushers (4 on each level) station in the auditorium to direct J2 classes to their seats.

During event:

4. 6 helpers to report to Mr Sim at the General Office at 1 pm
a) Collect cones (with PDG no.) from Mr Sim

b) Arrange the cones according to the plan (Terry will show you all on Saturday) at the Main Hall (Pl note that classes 02/07, 12/07, 11/07, 15/07, /24/07 are excused)

c) Remind the first student of each class their seating arrangement.

d) Upon instructions from the teacher i/c, bring the classes to the Auditorium (1 class at a time). The floor is indicated so go by the standard route to the auditorium.

e) Let the students be seated asap in the Auditorium.
i. Fill up ALL the seats.
ii. Need not follow the labels on the chairs if the class attendance is not 100%.
iii. At the start of the ceremony, sit down at the designated seats in the plan for you.

After the ceremony:

a) Remove the backdrop and put it at the back of the stage. (Male students preferred)
b) Move the red platform to the back of the stage.
C) Remove all the stickers on the chairs.

Misc. Stuff

- To those who are performing, please tell Fiona who you are by tomorrow.

- Please include what time will you be available and not.

- Please tell me if you are interested in being one of the 14 helpers needed on Saturday (4 x level 1 ushers, 4 x level 2 ushers, 6 x helpers in the audi) by tomorrow as well.

- For those names not mentioned under "Friday", please tell me which task you wanna help out at. The 1st task is preferred cos that needs more manpower in addition to the few men there. :)

This is a part of our growing up years. This JC period. We can nvr come back to this year ever again. Rmbing wat Han lao shi said last year. When she was in uni and all her classmates were looking forward to the end of the exams so that they will take their 1st step into the working world. But after the exam all of them just felt lost and helpless that the journey has finally come to an end. Similarly, after our 'A's, the guys gotta go army n the girls u all hav to look forward to university. Though it's cruel, but we will somehow lose contact with some classmates for a long period of time and perhaps meet up after like years. So.. as we all look forward to the 'A's the big one and all the exams, take a momment sometime to ponder about wat will life be after 2008. How will ur life change??

Hmm.. Just something to ponder upon if u ever study late into the nitez and decide to take a 5min breather. It seems that JC curriculum is so part of us now that we sort of take it for granted. Our classmates, sch mates. Mayb it's time to say some things to those dear to u now as time is short and we only have about 5 months left with each other. Minusing this month and october where we will all be so loss in our notes till the November period ends. But, nonetheless, enjoy the remaining time we have together as sometimes looking too far ahead is very depressing =p

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down. It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual. On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.

No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.

The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'

After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.

'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.' Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him. 'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'

All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'

Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.''I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

Just thought I'd write you a short note to tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you at school. I can't recall when I had a more pleasant time. Everything felt so natural, and you were very easy to talk to. It's hard for me to identify what it is about you that attracts me so. I suppose it might be the combination of your great sense of humor, your charming personality and your good-looks. Whatever it is, I can sense its presence. You could call it chemistry, or better yet, the possibility that we are on the same wavelength.

Hello my fellow classmates.. ^__^ LOLx.. got so bored than decide to blog something to prepare us for wat is comin 2 weeks down and the week that follow also =)

As u all noe, 2 weeks down is Chinese New Year.. Yea.. the period of time where every1 will b busy and making lots of money XD Yea.. Enjoy this festive period cos it won't last long.. Nvr mind as Terry said today: " It's okay, we still hav 10 months" =) Yea.. so nvr giv up =) Continue perservereing and no matter wat others say, just beliv in wat u're doin and keep that faith cos nobody can control ur life. hello guys! i'm back to revive this blog =D anyway i realllly appreciate all of you for not changing your shifts (SL) and causing a lot of trouble with the paperwork! =DDD

okay, chalet stuffs now. due to lack of space (siann) we have to restrict your luggage. and there are things we require all of you to bring, as follows.

Chalet luggage:
-underwear (max 5)
-clothes (6 sets max including the one you wear there)
-toiletries
-toilet paper roll (2 rolls)
-shoes (max 2-3. slippers, covered shoes, and whatever u wanna)
-specs box/contact lens solution
-personal medication
-swimwear/wet attire
-towel (2 max. 1 for bathing, 1 for night cycling)
-water bottle
-handphone charger

toilet paper is required cos there wont have.
you'll require covered shoes for those gg night cycling
towel to wipe off your sweat during cycling
and handphone charger needs no explanation bah haha. we can share chargers too, so tag in the tagboard if you're bringing a charger? yep.

now for night cycling stuffs:
-mosquito repellent
-torchlight
-extra batteries for your torchlight
-poncho (impt!!)

we've already bought lightsticks for all of you =)) you'll need to bring your own food/snacks to replenish your energy too, haha. some suggestions are milo bars, calorie bars or plain sweets.
for drinks, we'll be making stopovers to get them, so make sure you bring along money on your trip to buy your drinks! bring along istonic drinks if you want, and the MIMIMUM is a 500ml waterbottle so we can drink and refill. important ah! don't want any dehydration haha.

don't worry about the first aid kit either cos we're getting that settled too.

meet at 12pm at white sands shopping centre (pasir ris station) for those who wanna have lunch before going. we'll be checking in after lunch.

making urself exercise regularly,
and ask ur parents to endorse.

How do I get there?
All students are to make their way there themselves. Ensure safety at all times. Do not clown around.

1) Take the MRT to Bedok Station.
2) Proceed to Bedok Interchange
3) Take buses 196 or 197.
5) Walk across the flyover to the beach. DO NOT RUN ACROSS THE EXPRESSWAY
6) The location of the castle is right beside the food village/centre.

Students are to bring the following:
1) Attire: PE shirt and shorts. bring (yang: wear lar, sandals also can :P) your slippers
2) Bring along adequate drinking water. Please use at least a 1.5L water bottle.
3) Bring a hat that provides adequate cover
4) You are allowed to bring sunglasses & sun-block lotion.
5) Bring an extra change of clothes.
6) All clothing are not to have insulting or explicit pictures or words. Remember that you are representing the college.
